Safe & Healthy Gardening in Urban Soils

Brooklyn College Staff
What is lead and why does it matter? Experts from the Urban Soils Lab at Brooklyn College will demonstrate how to take a soil sample, what to do with it, and how to understand the soil test results. We'll highlight the latest news in best practices for growing healthy plants in urban soils. Bring a soil sample, if you have one, to be tested - on the spot -- for lead. ASL interpreter available upon request; contact community@bbg.org at least 2 weeks prior to the class date.
