All the best beekeepers know that their basics extend past seasonal management practices. In this course, we will talk more in depth about the biology that informs the decision-making of a beekeeper. Those interested in getting started with beekeeping will get an overview of equipment, colony management, common pests and diseases, as well as honeybee biology and the organization of a colony. You’ll gain a basic understanding of beekeeping through instructor-led presentation and some handling of equipment.
