Plant Health Care—BLENDED

Learn how to maintain a healthy landscape while preserving its ecology as much as possible. This class offers an in-depth examination of strategies and resources for sustainably growing plants and managing major disease and insect problems, weeds, and animal issues, including use of Integrated Pest Management and organic techniques. As a blended course, some sessions will meet virtually over Zoom and others will meet in person at Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Please note that meeting in person during designated sessions is a requirement of this course.
This course is one of eight required for the Certificate in Horticulture—a program is designed for people who plan to pursue a career in the horticulture industry and for highly motivated home gardeners who want an in-depth understanding of plants and gardening.
