Class: Woody Landscape Plant ID. Photo by Blanca Begert.
Woody plants—including shade trees, ornamental trees, and evergreen and deciduous shrubs—form the backbone of a well-planned landscape design. This course will help you master the identification and uses of many woody plants found in urban landscapes. Lectures and hands-on labs are augmented by sessions on BBG grounds.
This course is one of eight required for the Certificate in Horticulture—a program is designed for people who plan to pursue a career in the horticulture industry and for highly motivated home gardeners who want an in-depth understanding of plants and gardening. For more information, please visit the Certificate in Horticulture webpage.
