After completing a master's degree in social work at Columbia, she moved to India for five years, where she launched and managed two fast-growing social enterprises focused on health and environment. She also became a certified practitioner and teacher of yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, and Reiki, with a focus on the therapeutic impact of these practices.
