Chinese Brush Painting (ONLINE)

Learn to paint in the Chinese style using bamboo brushes, ink, watercolor paints, and rice paper. Explore the origins of Chinese characters and the different styles of Chinese calligraphy.
Please have these materials on hand during class: Different sizes of bamboo brushes including a flat brush, Chinese ink or Sumi ink, Chinese watercolor paints, and rice paper. If these Chinese materials are not available, students may use Western brushes, watercolor paints, and paper or newsprint.
