This introductory class will teach you how to make accurate and lively paintings of birds. Working from photographs, develop observational skills, an eye for detail and proportion, and a basic knowledge of avian anatomy. Learn the brush techniques necessary to capture the luminous color of feathers, plumage patterns, and textures ranging from beaks to fluffy down.

Please bring your registration confirmation and a photo ID to the security desk at the 1000 Washington Avenue entrance, and you will be directed to your classroom. In advance of class, show registration confirmation for free admission to the Garden. For drivers, the parking lot is located at 900 Washington Avenue. Allow 10 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the Education building.

Registration for Winter/Spring Continuing Education classes will open at 9 a.m. on Monday, December 4.

In order to receive a refund, you must cancel your enrollment at least five business days prior to the class start date. You will be charged a $15 cancellation fee. No Exceptions.
