Learn how to identify common New York City trees and shrubs, and explore their uses in the urban landscape. Lectures will take place virtually, to be supplemented with weekly independent visits to the Garden to see plants in person.
This course is one of eight required for the Certificate in Horticulture—a program is designed for people who plan to pursue a career in the horticulture industry and for highly motivated home gardeners who want an in-depth understanding of plants and gardening.
