Visible Mending: Sashiko and Woven Patches—ON-SITE

A practice born out of necessity, visible mending techniques have seen a resurgence in recent years as people have become more aware of the negative impacts of the fast fashion industry. In this class, we will go over two of the most versatile techniques for repairing garments: the Japanese sashiko style of mending and woven patches. Both techniques extend the life of well-loved garments while adding stylistic flair.
