Eco-Explorers Half Day, Section B-1 (Grades: 1-2)


This program incorporates planting, harvesting, science experiments, and sustainability projects. Groups take home fresh veggies, investigate compost, cook with garden produce, and learn about garden’s fascinating creatures, including worms, pollinators, fungi, and more!

Notes:Class meets on July 13, 14, 15, 20, 21 & 22. Participants must use the 455 Flatbush Avenue entrance (a 3-minute walk to the Children's Garden). You may enter the Flatbush gate starting at 8:45am. Children should wear clothing that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes (no sandals). Bring a mask, bagged lunch, water bottle, hat, sunblock, and a reusable bag to take home projects or harvest. We continue to follow the city/state guidelines for COVID safety policies; updated policies will be communicated closer to the start of your program. Caregivers: Bring class confirmation (printed or digital) for Garden admission and remember that classes start and end on time. The Garden reserves the right to withdraw any course lacking sufficient enrollment. Student cancellation at least 10 business days before a course begins will receive a refund, less $25 processing fee. For questions, contact the Registration Office at (718) 623-7220.

In order to receive a refund, you must cancel your enrollment at least five business days prior to the class start date. You will be charged a $15 cancellation fee. No Exceptions.
