Am I buying a genetic clone, and does it matter? Should I buy local ecotypes (and from where)? When are nativars okay? Which native plants require pollinator partners? What are the pros and cons of planting seed versus live plants? Should I buy dwarf cultivars? What's the tradeoff with double flowers?
