Floral Arranging: What to Do With That Vase - ON-SITE
Do you have a gorgeous vase in your home that has never been used? An unusual container given to you that you can't figure out how to put flowers in? Join us at an outdoor workshop led by Elise Bernhardt of Fleur Elise Bkln who will help you “make a dance in a vase. ” Open to all levels, participants will learn to create an arrangement that makes the most of your vase and flowers. The workshop will focus on the basic principles of composition: line, shape, movement, negative space, and other design concepts that come from dance and Ikebana (Japanese floral design practice). Basics about preparation and maintenance of your floral materials will also be covered. If you don’t have a vase, we can provide one along with fresh, seasonal flowers. Please bring your own shears.
